Metha and Melisa series panting #1 : Kolam Ikan Bumi Siliwangi

# 1 - Kolam Ikan Bumi Siliwangi

I made this painting for my friend Metha.
She was a friend who was always fun to be with. We seemed to always be there to support each other, sharing our happiness and sorrow.
I painted this picture as she and I, wearing cute hats, sitting and relaxing, feeding fish at a place we visited very often. A place that used to be called kolam ikan (fish pond) Bumi Siliwangi.
The place is now called UPI, Bumi Isola.

Oh, how I missed those old days.
Metha, thank you dear, for being such a good friend, Always.

Melisa,

Metha and Melisa painting series #3 - Guava (Jambu) tree climbing

A story of friendship and connection:My friends, Velly, Dessy and Refita were inseparable in elementary school. They did many things together, whether having slumber parties, doing homework or chilling out by walking to spend the day.My painting depicts their walking up the hill, then sitting together at the top having snacks. In their adults life now, they all live far apart, but I am sure they are still very close at heart. Their long lasting friendship is truly beautiful and remarkable...I often call them “Tiga Sekawan!”My brother, Buddy Rahardjo, took the photograph during his hike at Pec-Tromeja Mountain, located at the triple border between Austria, Italy and Slovenia within the Julian Alps region. I used his photo for the background of this painting. I hope you enjoy my painting.
